About the Shoot Experience

What kind of shoots do you offer? I absolutely love creating captivating beauty shots but I also like collaborating on fashion shoots as well as crafting the perfect headshot for your personal branding needs.

Do you have studio? Yes! I have a comfortable in-home studio with professional gear and lighting. I am at ease with shooting outdoors as well if a location setting is required.

What to Wear? Can you help me with posing? Wardrobe is an important part of the overall session. My team and I will ensure you look your absolute best for your shoot by discussing wardrobe options well in advance of your session date. Posing is something that we can work on as well. I also recommend the Posing Ideas App for iOS Devices and the Posing App for Android devices. Both offer free and paid versions.

About Scheduling

How do I schedule a shoot? You can a shoot several ways. First, by using The Connection page to contact us with you needs. Alternatively, you can give me a call directly to set up your shoot.

How long will we shoot? How many images do I get? Shoot times vary and can be anywhere from half an hour or can span the course of several days if required. Likewise, the number of images you receive is based on the package you select. Regardless of the package, the least number of edited images you’ll receive is four.

About the Images

How long before I can view my images? I’m a firm believer in efficient turnaround times. To that end, I make every effort to have the images set up in a password protected gallery within 24 – 48 hours. Please note that, based on workload, it may take up to 14 days.

Do you offer digital images or prints? Or both? Currently, I only offer digital files with plans on incorporating prints soon. Additionally, I can provide you with a print release if you’d like to print your digital files.

Do you retouch your images? Yep, sure do! However, I only retouch to enhance your natural look. I don’t overdo it and you will never have to worry about looking “plastic-y”.

Do I own the images from our session? All images remain the property of Michael Stagg Photography. However, I am more than happy to discuss your licensing needs.

About Cancellations, Deposits and Other Payment Details

What are your rates? Glad you asked! My rates vary depending upon the session you book. That being mentioned, my rates begin at $99. Please call or click to discuss your specific needs or to request a quote.


What payment types do you accept? When are deposits and final payments due? I accept PayPal and good old fashioned cash. For PayPal, I can send an invoice, you can use My PayPal link or, if you’re in the local area,  I can accept your payment using PayPal Here. For all shoots, a non-refundable deposit of 50% your shoot cost is required to secure your shoot date/time.

What is your cancellation policy? Simple; there isn’t one!  With that mentioned, one to two days advanced notice of your need to cancel works for me. As mentioned above, there is a deposit to hold a shoot date/time. If it’s not last minute (like just a few minutes before the shoot), then I have no issue with cancelling and you can transfer that deposit toward your rescheduled shoot. Please note, the rescheduled shoot must be booked within 72 hours of cancellation. Communication is key in any relationship.
